Jaz Sinclair, who plays the powerful blood-bending supe Marie Moreau in Gen V, is set to appear in the final season of The Boys. While the actress confirms her appearance in the upcoming episodes, she remains tight-lipped about exactly how big her role will be in the Prime Video series finale.
Fans of the superhero universe have long guessed that Marie Moreau would eventually cross paths with The Boys. The speculation grew stronger after the ending of Gen V Season 2, where Marie and her friends joined Starlight’s (Erin Moriarty) resistance against Homelander (Antony Starr) . Now, with The Boys Season 5 arriving in April, Sinclair is finally addressing her part in the show’s final chapter.
Jaz Sinclair Says The Boys Set Was a Lucky Experience
Sinclair recently opened up about joining the main series during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She shared that stepping onto the set of the original show felt like a big deal.
“I’m such a fan of The Boys, obviously. We call it the mothership. It’s such an excellent show, and I know a lot of those guys now because we just cross paths. When I found out that I was gonna get to be on the show, I just felt so grateful. It’s such an incredible feat, the show that they made, and to get to be a part of that is so cool. I just felt really lucky and very excited.”
Sinclair confirmed that her Gen V co-star London Thor, who plays Jordan Li, also filmed scenes for the final season. She mentioned they had a lot of fun working together on set but refused to share any specific details about their storylines.
What Sinclair Can and Can’t Say About Her Role
When asked directly about Marie’s role in taking down Homelander, Sinclair chose her words with care. She acknowledged that fans have good reason to expect big things from her character.
“I definitely see why people were speculating about me being on the show, and hopefully they’ll be very thrilled with what we filmed,” Sinclair told The Hollywood Reporter.
The actress knows that the ending of Gen V Season 2 set high expectations. The show spent a lot of time discussing how powerful Marie is and making comparisons between her abilities and Homelander’s. Fans have theorized that Marie’s blood-bending powers could be the key to defeating the series’ main villain.
Sinclair added that she is excited to meet the larger fanbase of The Boys. While there is plenty of crossover between viewers of both shows, she knows some people watching Season 5 may be meeting Marie for the first time. She hopes those new viewers will welcome her character into the franchise family.

Eric Kripke Clarifies Gen V’s Role in the Final Season
Eric Kripke, the creator of The Boys, has offered some context about what fans should expect from the Gen V characters. He recently explained that while Marie will appear, the final season still belongs to the original characters.
“Gen V is not required viewing,” Kripke told SFX magazine. He noted that watching the spin-off gives extra context for certain situations, but it is not necessary to understand the main plot.
Kripke also made it clear that the younger supes will not be taking over the story. “People should be prepared for the Gen V kids to not come in and save the season. We’ve been following The Boys for five years, and it’s time to bring that story to a head. I’m not here to make some crazy Marvel multiverse. I want to end that story well.”
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Kripke confirmed that Marie provides “crucial assists” in the final season. He explained that the show picks up about six months after the events of Gen V Season 2. The world is now fully under Homelander’s control, and there is an active underground resistance led by Starlight and A-Train.
