The upcoming zombie drama Newtopia, starring BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Park Jung Min, has generated excitement with the release of new stills featuring the supporting cast. These images offer a glimpse into the terrifying world of a zombie apocalypse, showcasing the characters’ fear and determination.
A Glimpse into Zombie-Infested Newtopia
The newly released stills from Coupang Play, the production house behind Newtopia, reveal the drama’s central theme: a zombie outbreak. While the zombies themselves are not shown, the cast’s expressions of terror paint a vivid picture of the impending danger. One image shows Private Ra In Ho (Im Seong Jae) with a shocked expression, likely reacting to the horrifying sight of the undead.

Characters and Their Roles in the Zombie Fight
Ra In Ho may appear immature, but he holds deep respect for his superior, Lee Jae Yoon (Park Jung Min), and supports him in the fight against the zombies. Kim Jun Han plays Aaron Park, the Eden Hotel’s general manager, who is determined to protect his hotel and joins Lee Jae Yoon and Ra In Ho in their fight for survival. Oh Soo Jung (Hong Seo Hee), a capable and kind hotel employee, also joins the team.
Oh Soo Jung is not only skilled at her job but also possesses a strong sense of duty. She becomes a valuable ally to Lee Jae Yoon and Ra In Ho in their fight against the zombie threat. Other characters featured in the stills include Kang Young Seok as Seo Jin Wook, Lee Hak Joo as Sung Tae Sik, and Tang Jun Sang as Sam Su.
Seo Jin Wook, a university senior to Kang Young Joo (Jisoo), is seen holding a golf club, suggesting his preparedness for a zombie attack. While initially appearing gentle, the zombie crisis will reveal a different side to him.
Sung Tae Sik, also known as Alex, is a famous celebrity and the CEO of a game company. The stills show him explaining something while holding an object, hinting at his strategic mind. He may play a key role in leading the zombie fighting group, which includes Kang Young Joo.
Sam Su, a student preparing for his college entrance exam for the third time, unexpectedly finds himself part of Kang Young Joo’s zombie fighting team.

Newtopia will air every Friday from February 7 to March 21 at 8 p.m. KST.
