Jung Hae In and Ha Young have officially been confirmed as the lead actors for the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy series, ‘Lovestuck’. This new drama promises a sweet and unusual love story set in a charming countryside village.
‘Lovestuck’ tells the story of Go Eun Sae, played by Ha Young, a prosecutor who suddenly loses her memory. She encounters Jang Tae Ha, portrayed by Jung Hae In, a boxing coach who claims to be her boyfriend. Their lives become intertwined as they navigate this unexpected situation in a village known for its traditional Korean taffy shops, leading to a quirky and endearing romance.
The series will be directed by Kim Jang Han, known for his work on dramas like “Do You Like Brahms?” and “My Demon.” The screenplay will be written by Mo Ji Hye, who previously wrote “You Raise Me Up.”
Jung Hae In has gained popularity through his roles in various romantic dramas such as “Something in the Rain” and “Love Next Door.” In ‘Lovestuck’, he will play Jang Tae Ha, a former youth boxing champion who once belonged to a gang. However, he has since left that life behind to become a boxing coach in a small town. During his last task for the gang, he meets Go Eun Sae, his first love, who has lost her memory. He then starts a lie that could put him in danger.
Ha Young, who recently starred in “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” will take on the role of Go Eun Sae. She is depicted as an accomplished prosecutor in the Anti-Corruption Investigation Department of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, known for her sharp and efficient approach to her work. While investigating a crime organization, she gets into an accident that causes her to lose her memory. She wakes up in a rural clinic surrounded by traditional taffy shops and meets Jang Tae Ha, who introduces himself as her boyfriend.
As Go Eun Sae tries to piece together her “sticky” reality, she finds herself drawn to Jang Tae Ha’s warm personality, building anticipation for their developing romantic relationship.
