Netflix has released the first teaser and posters for the upcoming Korean drama You and Everything Else, starring Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun. The series will premiere on September 12, 2025, and explores the complex friendship between two women over several decades.
The teaser shows the emotional highs and lows of their relationship, from childhood friendship to adulthood conflicts. The story follows Ryu Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Cheon Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun), who meet in elementary school and remain connected through love, jealousy, and rivalry.
What Is ‘You And Everything Else’ About?
The drama traces the lives of two best friends from their school days to their 40s. Eun Jung is a screenwriter, while Sang Yeon becomes a successful film director. Despite their deep bond, their friendship is strained by envy, misunderstandings, and personal struggles.
At age 42, they reunite when Sang Yeon is diagnosed with terminal cancer. She asks Eun Jung to stay by her side during her final days, forcing them to confront their past and unresolved emotions. The series explores themes of love, regret, and the impact of long-term friendships.
“Being around Sang Yeon makes everything about me feel so ordinary, insignificant even,” says Eun Jung in the teaser.
“That’s when I sensed that I could never beat her,” Sang Yeon responds.
Who Are The Cast And Crew?
The drama brings together a strong team. Kim Go Eun, known for Little Women and Goblin, plays Ryu Eun Jung. Park Ji Hyun, from Love All Play and Do You Like Brahms?, takes the role of Cheon Sang Yeon.
Kim Gun Woo (The Glory) joins as Kim Sang Hak, a college senior who later dates Eun Jung but has a past with Sang Yeon. The series is directed by Jo Young Min (Do You Like Brahms?) and written by Song Hye Jin (The Smile Has Left Your Eyes).
What Do The Teaser And Posters Show?
The teaser opens with a heated argument between the two leads. Sang Yeon says, “I hate that you’re fine. I want to see you ruined, like me.” Eun Jung fires back, “If you understood how radiant you once were, you wouldn’t do this to yourself.”
The posters feature the two women standing in front of blurred images of each other, with the tagline “Between admiration and resentment.” This highlights the love-hate dynamic that defines their relationship.
Why Is This Drama Getting Attention?
Fans are excited because of the lead actors’ chemistry and the emotional storyline. The director, Jo Young Min, shared his thoughts:
“I thought ‘companionship’ was the core of this story. As you follow Eun Jung and Sang Yeon’s lives, you might see your past self, think of an old friend, or relate it to your own experiences.”
The series promises to be a deep exploration of friendship, showing how admiration can turn into jealousy and how unresolved feelings can drive people apart.
When And Where Can You Watch It?
You and Everything Else will be available worldwide on Netflix starting September 12, 2025. The teaser and posters are already gaining attention, building anticipation for the full release.
