Channel A’s upcoming drama “My Lovely Journey“ has released a new teaser showing Kim Jae Young’s character bringing new energy to Gong Seung Yeon’s struggling former idol. The drama tells the story of Kang Yeo Reum, a failed K-pop star who finds new purpose as a travel reporter.
The teaser begins with Yeo Reum sitting alone on a beach, looking lost. She says:
“Everyone says I’ve fallen. A failed idol, fallen into the life of a survival-mode reporter. I have nowhere to go.”
Her mood changes when Lee Yeon Seok (Kim Jae Young) sits beside her and suggests starting a unique travel business. This idea gives Yeo Reum new hope and direction. Kim Jae Young’s character Lee Yeon Seok is an aspiring filmmaker who partners with Yeo Reum. Together they build Summer, a company that creates personalized travel experiences for clients who cannot travel themselves. Adding to the story is Cha Si Wan, played by NU’EST’s Baekho. He is another former idol who became a successful actor. His return brings complications to Yeo Reum’s life just as she starts finding happiness.
