Kim Sae Ron’s family alleges that Kim Soo Hyun’s agency sent threatening letters, demanding compensation related to the drama “Queen of Tears.” These claims have sparked outrage among netizens, who question the agency’s actions.
Allegations of Threatening Letters
On March 17, Kim Sae Ron’s family’s legal representative revealed that Kim Soo Hyun’s agency sent two certified letters to the late actress. According to the representative, the first letter prompted Kim Sae Ron to text Kim Soo Hyun, pleading for his help. However, she then received a second letter from the agency.
The family’s legal representative stated:
“After the agency sent the first letter, the deceased sent a text message to Kim Soo Hyun, asking him to save her. She then received another letter from the agency. Although they mentioned that they had no choice but to send it due to a breach of trust, it was just a message that gave the deceased some time to pay off the debt.”
The representative also claimed that the agency threatened legal action if Kim Sae Ron contacted Kim Soo Hyun or other agency actors directly, or if she posted photos online. They added that after the second letter, there was no further contact from Kim Soo Hyun, the agency, or any other actors.
“It’s hard to fathom how much mental pain she must have suffered after receiving the letter. We don’t understand why they are waiting for contact from the bereaved family to make a public statement. We are considering legal action against Kim Soo Hyun in the future.”
“Queen of Tears” and Netizen Reactions
The legal representative further revealed that the second letter specifically mentioned “Queen of Tears,” stating:
“If you upload such photos to social media or contact anyone from the agency, you will have to compensate the ‘Queen of Tears’ for any damages caused by such photos.”
Netizens expressed shock and anger at this revelation, questioning the connection between Kim Sae Ron’s actions and the drama. Some netizen reactions include:
“This is so cruel… really cruel.”
“They are the worst…it’s making me even annoyed at the drama.”
“They are the devil..so horrible.”
“They aren’t human…”
“What’s so great about ‘Queen of Tears’ for them to go this far…glad I didn’t watch the drama after seeing the plagiarism news.”
Additionally, netizens were reportedly confused by recent comments from Kim Soo Hyun’s fan cafe.
