The second season of Taylor Sheridan‘s oil industry drama Landman is set to premiere on November 16, 2025 on Paramount+. The new season continues the story of West Texas oil crisis manager Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, and will run for ten episodes, with new installments releasing weekly.

What Landman Season 2 Is About
The new season picks up after major events from the first season. The death of Jon Hamm’s character, Monty Miller, has created a power vacuum at M-Tex Oil. Tommy Norris is now in a position to take control, but faces immense pressure from corporate interests, international cartels, and his own family.
Demi Moore returns as Cami Miller, who now owns the company. The official logline for the season states: “As oil rises from the earth, so do secrets — and Tommy Norris’ breaking point may be closer than he realizes. Facing mounting pressure from M-Tex Oil, Cami Miller, and the shadow of his kin, survival in West Texas isn’t noble — it’s brutal.”
New and Returning Cast Members
Billy Bob Thornton leads the cast again as Tommy Norris. He is joined by returning stars Demi Moore as Cami, Ali Larter as Angela Norris, Jacob Lofland as Cooper Norris, and Michelle Randolph as Ainsley Norris.
The cast expands in season two with Andy Garcia joining as a series regular, reprising his role as cartel boss Galino. Screen legend Sam Elliott also joins the series, playing T.L., Tommy Norris’s father. On working with the new and returning ensemble, Michelle Randolph shared:
“I love working with Demi. And also, Pilaf was on set, her cute little dog. Horoscope-wise, it was the luckiest day of the year, everyone kept telling me, and I was on set with Demi, Sam Elliott, Andy Garcia, Billy Bob, Ali Larter — I just had to pinch myself.”
Show’s Future Amid Creator’s Move
Creator Taylor Sheridan, the mind behind Yellowstone and its spinoffs, recently signed a new deal with NBCUniversal. However, this move does not impact the future of Landman at Paramount+. Billy Bob Thornton addressed the change, noting:
“I think the shows that are at Paramount, stay at Paramount, so I don’t think those are affected. His deal is for the future. And who knows what that holds. Taylor is a brilliant guy, and I’m sure wherever he goes, whatever he does is gonna be successful.”
Sam Elliott offered a similar view, confirming “It’s not gonna impact the future of this series because everything that Taylor had at Paramount is gonna stay at Paramount. It’s not like he’s taking it there.”
The first season of Landman was a major success for Paramount+, drawing 5.2 million viewers for its premiere and setting a record as the platform’s most-watched global premiere.
