Late Kim Sae Ron’s Family Schedules Press Conference on March 27 to Present Alleged Evidence Claiming Kim Soo Hyun Was in a Relationship with Her When She Was a Minor
The family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron has announced plans to hold a press conference on March 27 to disclose what they claim is evidence of a relationship between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron when she was still a minor.
On March 26, Attorney Bae Ji Seok from the law firm Buyou stated,
“We will hold a press conference to disclose evidence proving that Kim Soo Hyun was in a relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron while she was underage and to address the recent spread of indiscriminate false information about the bereaved family, including plans for legal action.”
The press conference is scheduled to take place at 1:30 PM KST on March 27 in the Seocho-gu district of Seoul.
Previously, the family of the late Kim Sae Ron appeared on the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (HoverLab) where they asserted that Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun were in a relationship for six years, starting when she was a minor. They also voiced criticism regarding her agency’s handling of her DUI incident. During this broadcast, Garosero Research Institute reportedly revealed a photograph that allegedly showed Kim Soo Hyun inside Kim Sae Ron’s home wearing only a T-shirt and underwear while doing the dishes.
Initially, Kim Soo Hyun’s side denied these accusations, labeling them as untrue. However, on March 14, his agency released a new statement altering their stance:
“Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after Kim Sae Ron had reached adulthood. The claim that Kim Soo Hyun dated her when she was a minor is not true.”
Despite this clarification from Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, the controversy has continued to grow.
In response to the ongoing allegations, Kim Soo Hyun’s legal team has taken legal action by filing criminal complaints against Garosero Research Institute and members of the late Kim Sae Ron’s family. The complaints reportedly cite violations of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, including charges related to illegal filming and distribution.
