The Story of Malice
Malice centers on Adam Healey (Jack Whitehall), a charismatic and knowledgeable tutor who meets the wealthy Tanner family while they are on holiday in Greece. When the family’s nanny falls ill, Adam seizes the opportunity to integrate himself into their lives. He moves into their London home, quickly making himself seem indispensable.
However, Adam’s intentions are not pure. He begins to secretly manipulate the family members, turning them against each other as part of a sinister plot to bring down patriarch Jamie Tanner (David Duchovny). Jamie, a successful businessman used to being in control, slowly realizes that the series of disasters striking his family may be orchestrated by the enemy now living under his roof. The series explores why Adam holds such a deep hatred for Jamie, making it a revenge thriller where the past comes back to haunt the present.

Behind the Scenes and Filming
The series was created and written by James Wood, with directors Mike Barker and Leonora Lonsdale helming the episodes. Filming took place over 18 weeks, starting in London in February 2024 and also occurring on the Greek island of Paros. Production wrapped in July 2024.
For star Jack Whitehall, this role marks a significant shift from his usual comedic work to a more dramatic and complex character. He described the experience as “exhilarating,” noting that Adam is a character who is “charming and funny one moment and absolutely chilling the next.”
David Duchovny described the show as having elements of The White Lotus and Ripley, but emphasized that it is more of a “whydunit” than a “whodunit,” focusing on the motives behind the actions.
Release Schedule and Where to Watch
Malice premiered globally on November 14, 2025. Unlike weekly releases, all six episodes of the first season were released at once on Amazon Prime Video, allowing viewers to binge the entire series. The show is available exclusively with a Prime Video subscription.
