Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez are reportedly planning a double date with their partners, signaling a fresh chapter in their friendship after years of rumored tension. The former Disney stars, who once faced speculation of a feud linked to their shared history with Nick Jonas, reconnected at the 2025 Oscars and are now taking steps to strengthen their bond.

At the 2025 Oscars, Cyrus and Gomez spent significant time together, marking a turning point in their relationship. A source revealed that the two stars, along with their partners—Cyrus’s boyfriend Maxx Morando and Gomez’s fiancé Benny Blanco—hit it off immediately.
“They ended up spending a ton of time together the night of the Oscars, partly because Miley and Benny go way back. They’ve collaborated on songs and have so many of the same friends in the industry, so they had a lot to talk about,” the insider shared .
The foursome reportedly made plans for a “wholesome” double date, with Gomez and Blanco hosting and preparing dinner at their home .
From Disney Rivals to Friends
Cyrus and Gomez first crossed paths in 2007 when Gomez guest-starred on Hannah Montana as Mikayla, a pop rival to Cyrus’s character. Around the same time, both dated Nick Jonas—Cyrus from 2006 to 2008, followed by Gomez in 2008–2009—fueling rumors of a fallout.
