MONSTA X member Minhyuk has shared an emotional message with fans after facing intense criticism over dating rumors. The idol apologized for causing disappointment and addressed the emotional toll of online hate targeting his family. His statement has sparked mixed reactions from fans worldwide.

Minhyuk used the fan platform Bubble to communicate directly with MONBEBE, MONSTA X’s fandom. He expressed deep regret for not addressing the situation sooner. The idol admitted he deserved criticism but also revealed the pain caused by false rumors and personal attacks.

“I sincerely apologize to Monbebe who waited for our 10th anniversary. I wanted to apologize earlier but couldnโ€™t, and Iโ€™m sorry itโ€™s taken me this long.”

The dating rumors began in March 2025 when an anonymous social media user shared alleged evidence of Minhyuk’s relationship with a well-known influencer. Fans claimed the idol neglected his duties by bringing his girlfriend to official schedules, including a MONSTA X content shoot in Busan.

“What about when he had to go to Busan alone as a penalty but went with his girlfriend instead? Or how they traveled to Japan during Lunar New Year, delaying his return for Fashion Week?”

Minhyuk denied some allegations but acknowledged fan frustration. He explained his struggle with daily false posts and hate comments reaching his family. The idol admitted feeling overwhelmed after years of enduring public scrutiny.

“Every day, dozens of posts accuse me of things I didnโ€™t do. The blame and attacks from these rumors are now even reaching my family. I told myself this is a job I must endure, but I donโ€™t think I can take it anymore.”

The alleged girlfriend, identified as Seong Su-in, responded to the backlash with a legal warning. She threatened action against false rumors and malicious comments on her Instagram.

“We respectfully request that you immediately cease the repeated leaking of personal information related to Seong Su-in, unauthorized reposting of Instagram content, and malicious comments.”

Fans remain divided. Some support Minhyuk’s right to privacy, while others criticize his handling of the situation. Many expressed disappointment over MONSTA X’s lack of group activities ahead of their 10th anniversary.

“Nobody cares if guys in their 30s are dating. Fans are upset because this isnโ€™t the first time thereโ€™s been girlfriend-related drama. Theyโ€™re not working, just dating.”

Minhyuk ended his message by asking fans what they wanted from him. He questioned whether stepping back or staying active would help, showing his uncertainty about moving forward. The idol emphasized MONBEBE’s importance but faced accusations of making excuses.

“Would it help if I stopped communicating for a while? Or would that just cause more misunderstanding? Monbebe are truly precious to me. What hurts most is fans thinking my past love was fake.”
