Nam Ji Hyun and Moon Sang Min may soon be starring together in a new historical romantic comedy titled “Dear Bandit.” According to reports from October 24, 2024, the two actors are in talks to lead this drama, which is based on an award-winning script from a highly competitive writing contest.

Plot Details and Award-Winning Script

The screenplay for “Dear Bandit” won the Excellence Award at the 2nd Drama Script Contest organized by Studio Dragon in 2020. The plot centers around a woman from the Joseon Dynasty who accidentally steals something important, leading to an unexpected soul switch between her and a man chasing her.

Nam Ji Hyun is reportedly being considered for the role of Hong Eun Jo, also known as Hong Gil Dong, a woman born to a noble father and a slave mother. She becomes a fierce bandit who robs corrupt officials. Meanwhile, Moon Sang Min could portray Prince Do Wol Lee Yeol, a nobleman who finds himself entangled with Hong Gil Dong as he investigates her. Unbeknownst to him, the woman he falls for is the same bandit he is pursuing.
