NCT‘s Taeyong is keeping busy during his military service! The talented K-pop idol recently surprised students at his former high school, SOPA, with a special performance at a military event.

Taeyong Performs PSY’s “It’s Art” and His Solo Hit “Run Away”

On July 5, 2024, Taeyong took the stage at SOPA and treated the audience to a high-energy performance. He kicked things off with a crowd-pleaser, “It’s Art,” by the legendary K-pop artist PSY. The audience went wild, singing along with Taeyong and the NCPT band.

Taeyong then turned up the energy even further with “Run Away,” a B-side track from his recently released solo album, TAP. This powerful rock anthem had the whole crowd riled up!

Taeyong Takes on the Latest Dance Challenges

After his solo performances, Taeyong joined some SOPA students for some fun dance challenges. They showed off their moves to NCT U’s “Baggy Jeans” challenge, proving they were all NCTzens at heart.

But Taeyong wasn’t done there! He also jumped on the trend with aespa’s “Armageddon” challenge. He even uploaded a video to his TikTok account, featuring him rapping onstage while two dancers performed impressive breakdancing moves.

Taeyong Ends the Day with Fan Interactions

The day wasn’t complete without some interaction with his fans! Taeyong took pictures with the SOPA students, creating unforgettable memories for everyone involved.

Taeyong debuted as a K-pop idol with NCT and went on to become a permanent member of NCT 127 alongside Jaehyun, Yuta, Mark, Johnny, Doyoung, Taeil, and Haechan. In 2023, he released his first solo album, SHALALA.

This year, Taeyong dropped his second solo album, TAP, on February 26, 2024. The album’s concept explored a hidden side of Taeyong that fans hadn’t seen before. He also held his first solo concert, TY TRACK, at the Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea.
