Netflix has released a new 72-second promotional video teasing a significant announcement for Wednesday, January 7, 2026. The teaser clip hints at a slate unveiling event that will showcase what subscribers can watch in the coming months. The video features actress Teyana Taylor as a tarot card reader guiding a young woman, suggesting new reveals for some of the platform’s most popular series.

The event is scheduled for early January 2026, and will likely be a focused preview of upcoming content rather than a large-scale, mid-year event like Netflix’s annual Tudum fan fest. The short promo suggests fans can expect new looks at popular shows. Early glimpses point towards fresh footage for the new season of Bridgerton, the next chapter of One Piece, and the return of Avatar: The Last Airbender. These previews are likely just the start, with potential announcements for other series and movies planned for the first quarter of 2026.

The streamer is not expected to do a large event as with their annual Tudum fan fest, but we can probably expect multiple trailer launches that day.

Netflix’s lineup for early 2026 is led by some of its most popular franchises. Bridgerton Season 4 is a centerpiece, focusing on the romance between Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek. Season 4 will be released in two parts, with the first set of four episodes arriving on January 29, 2026, and the second part following on February 26, 2026. A special live fan event for the show, the Bridgerton Season 4 Premiere Masquerade, is scheduled to stream on January 14, 2026. This event will feature a virtual screening of the first episode, interviews, and a performance.

Other major scripted returns include the live-action One Piece Season 2 in March 2026, The Night Agent Season 3 on February 19, 2026, and The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 on February 5, 2026. Popular reality shows are also coming back, with new seasons of Love Is Blind: Germany, Unlocked: A Jail Experiment, and Singleโ€™s Inferno scheduled.

January 2026 brings several high-profile new projects, many of which are adaptations of popular books. The mystery thriller His & Hers, starring Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal, arrives on January 8, 2026. The romantic comedy film People We Meet on Vacation, based on Emily Henry’s novel and starring Emily Bader and Tom Blyth, launches on January 9, 2026.

Later in the month, on January 15, 2026, viewers can watch Agatha Christieโ€™s Seven Dials, a new three-part mini-series featuring Mia McKenna-Bruce, Martin Freeman, and Helena Bonham Carter. The action film The Rip, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon and directed by Joe Carnahan, is also set for January. Actress Teyana Taylor, who appears in the Netflix promotional teaser, also stars in The Rip.

Beyond the January 7 reveal, Netflix’s planned 2026 slate includes titles scheduled throughout the year. Big projects expected later in 2026 include the return of the anthology series BEEF for a second season, starring Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan. The long-awaited film adaptation of Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, directed by Greta Gerwig, is planned for December 2026. The political thriller series Trinity, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard Madden, is set for a July 2026 debut.

The streaming service is also preparing the third film in the Enola Holmes series with Millie Bobby Brown, a new film starring Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson titled Here Comes the Flood, and the movie finale to the Heartstopper series, called Heartstopper: Forever. As with all long-term plans, Netflix notes that its 2026 development slate is extensive and release dates are subject to change.
