The latest episode of the K-drama brought the central secret into the open. In Nice to Not Meet You Episode 12, the connection between actor Lim Hyun-jun and the online persona ‘Melomaster’ was finally revealed to reporter Wi Jeong-sin, changing the course of their relationship.
The episode, which became available for international streaming on December 16, 2025, deals with the immediate fallout of Hyun-jun’s confession. After episodes of secret online chats and growing real-world tension, Jeong-sin must now reconcile the two sides of the man she has come to know.
What Happened in Episode 12
The episode starts exactly where the previous one ended. Hyun-jun has just told Jeong-sin that he is Melomaster, the man she has been sharing her private thoughts with on the Onion app. He confesses his true feelings for her and drives her and her rice cooker back home.
Back at her apartment, Jeong-sin is overwhelmed. She replays all their intimate app conversations in her head, feeling intense embarrassment for being so open. Unable to sleep, she goes for a run and, by morning, finds herself outside Hyun-jun’s apartment building. He lets her in, but the emotional exhaustion catches up with her, and she falls asleep on his sofa.
When she doesn’t show up for work, her boss Yoon Hwa-young grows concerned. Hyun-jun answers Jeong-sin’s phone, pretending to be her brother, and says she is unwell. He then asks his manager, Mr. Hwang, to clear his schedule for the day so he can stay with her.
Upon waking, Jeong-sin confronts Hyun-jun. She feels betrayed and foolish for being deceived. Despite Hyun-jun’s attempts to explain that his feelings are genuine, she angrily leaves for work. However, she finds it impossible to focus, with thoughts of Hyun-jun and their situation constantly distracting her.
Meanwhile, the professional lives of the other characters continue. Hwa-young meets with former baseball star Lee Jae-hyung, who shows a new curiosity about her life and her son. Their dynamic shows signs of a thaw, contrasting with the central couple’s conflict.
Hyun-jun and Jeong-sin’s Crucial Meeting
Back at work, Jeong-sin asks Hwa-young to send a different reporter to cover Hyun-jun’s drama shoot. Hwa-young, perceptive as ever, immediately understands that a significant confession has taken place. Jeong-sin then calls Hyun-jun and asks to meet him at a coffee shop at 3 p.m.
Hyun-jun’s distraction causes problems on set. During a scene where his character must grab Jeong-sin’s brother by the collar, his discomfort leads to multiple failed takes. As soon as the shoot wraps, he rushes off to meet Jeong-sin.
At the coffee shop, Hyun-jun makes a noticeable choice: he does not wear his usual disguise, making himself easily recognizable to fans. While he is ordering, his manager calls with urgent news about a fight that has broken out on another set between their mothersโactresses Song Ae-sook and Oh Mi-ran.
Returning to the table, the stress of the situation triggers a panic attack in Hyun-jun. Seeing his distress, Jeong-sin helps him outside. In a quiet moment, she tells him to focus on feeling the sun, repeating the same advice she once gave Melomaster online. She allows him to rest his head on her shoulder, offering a moment of comfort and connection amidst the chaos.
