K-Pop group OMEGA X is embroiled in a shocking new controversy, with their current agency vehemently denying claims that member Hwichan sexually assaulted their former CEO, Kang Seong Hee. This development comes just days after OMEGA X’s former label, Spire Entertainment, released a video allegedly showing Hwichan inappropriately touching Kang.
A Disturbing Accusation and a Denial
On March 19th, Spire Entertainment held a press conference where they unveiled a disturbing CCTV clip. The footage reportedly showed a man, identified as Hwichan, groping and assaulting Kang. This bombshell accusation sent shockwaves through the K-Pop industry.
However, OMEGA X’s current agency, IPQ, has fiercely contested the allegations. In a recent statement, they categorically denied any wrongdoing on Hwichan’s part. They claim the video is misleading and that Hwichan was actually the victim of coercion.
According to the latest report by Ten Asia, they have finally put out a statement denying the accusation in its entirety.
The footage of Hwichan’s forced molestation of CEO Kang Seong Hee is all false.

IPQ also mentioned that they had requested Spire Entertainment to release the entire video, adding that it was Kang who was sexually inappropriate toward the OMEGA X members.
We have asked Spire Entertainment to release the entire video…CEO Kang Seong Hee’s demands for affection towards the members were continuous. As revealed a year ago, along with verbal abuse, physical violence, and harassment, there were clear instances of sexual misconduct.
— IPQ
The agency also claimed that in the video, Hwichan was coerced to touch Kang as she kept demanding “affection.”
The CCTV footage of Hwichan touching CEO Kang Seong Hee’s breasts is fabricated…The act was actually done under coercion because CEO Kang Seong Hee asked Hwichan to show her affection.
— IPQ
Finally, IPQ mentioned that their legal team is preparing to present all necessary evidence to support their claim.
The statement in relevance does not simply come from the member[s] but we are preparing materials in order to support this. we have of course, transcripts of conversations where she continuously requested for shows of affection.
— IPQ
This is yet another legal battle between OMEGA X and their former agency after the members took Spire Entertainment to court to suspend their exclusive contracts after the agency’s abuse of the members came to the surface last year. Read more about it here.
Unseen Footage and a History of Abuse
IPQ argues that the released video is incomplete and doesn’t provide the full context. They’ve demanded the release of the entire footage, suggesting it will reveal Kang’s inappropriate behavior towards OMEGA X members.
This isn’t the first time OMEGA X has accused Kang of misconduct. Last year, the group successfully terminated their contract with Spire Entertainment, citing physical violence, verbal abuse, and even sexual harassment by Kang.
A Battle on Two Fronts
IPQ further claims that Hwichan’s actions in the video were a result of persistent pressure from Kang for “affection.” They allege to have transcripts of conversations where Kang repeatedly requested such gestures from the group members.
This allegation adds another layer to the ongoing legal battle between OMEGA X and Spire Entertainment. With both sides making serious accusations, it appears a court battle is likely to determine the truth behind this disturbing situation.
Looking Ahead: A Fight for Justice
The future remains uncertain for OMEGA X. They face a public image crisis due to the accusation, but their agency seems determined to fight for their innocence. Fans are anxiously waiting to see the complete video and hear the evidence from both sides. This case highlights the dark side of the K-Pop industry and the power dynamics between idols and their agencies. Only time will tell how this situation unfolds.
