Their search for Lester’s killer has led them through a web of organized crime, secret underground casinos, and a cast of powerful new suspects.
Key players this season include Sofia Caccimelio, who hired the trio to find her missing husband, Nicky, and three influential billionaires: tech mogul Bash Steed, pharmaceutical heir Jay Pflug, and hotelier Camila White. The trio discovered a severed finger, which they initially thought belonged to Jay, but the investigation has since taken more complex turns, involving hidden money and a secret company known as “Tommy the Tongue.”
What Happened in Episode 8 “Cuckoo Chicks”
The previous episode took a unique approach with a “ladies’ night” at the Arconia, giving Mabel a chance to investigate outside her usual dynamic with Charles and Oliver. Loretta Durkin revealed unexpected psychic abilities, allowing her to channel spirits and interact with the spirit of the murdered Nicky Caccimelio.
This added a new, emotional layer to the mystery, uncovering more about Camila’s motives and her relationship with Nicky. A critical piece of evidence—an elevator crank with blood on it—was discovered in Nicky’s office, raising more questions. The episode ended with the case more complicated than ever, linking Lester and Nicky’s deaths to the dirty business operating within the Arconia’s walls.

The upcoming episode has a unique premise. Told through the perspective of the Arconia’s annoying robot doorman, L.E.S.T.R., the story suggests the machine may hold more secrets than anyone realized.

The episode will also feature a building-wide party at the Arconia, where residents realize the killer might still be among them, setting the stage for a tense season finale.
