Neha Dhupia, the beloved Bollywood actress known for her roles in films like Singh Is Kinng and Phas Gaye Re Obama and more, recently shared insights into her career, expressing gratitude towards the world of OTT. In a recent interview with Press Trust of India (PTI), she revealed that without the opportunities provided by OTT platforms, she might have faced unemployment.
Dhupia, a prominent figure in the Bollywood industry, has not only shone on the silver screen but has also captivated audiences with her podcast series, No Filter Neha, where she engages in lively and unfiltered conversations with fellow celebrities.
The actress, who recently appeared in Karan Johar‘s segment of the Netflix anthology Lust Stories, emphasized the impact of OTT on her career, saying, “If it wasn’t for OTT, then I would still be unemployed. All of last year, I did one feature film, and I love going to cinemas to watch films. At the same time, I did three other OTT shows, and they kept us happy and consumed.”
Dhupia also opened up about her aspirations to become a producer, acknowledging the difficulties associated with making that transition. After taking a break to focus on personal aspects of life, including raising children, she expressed the challenges of starting a career as a producer in the industry.
Discussing the concerns of creative individuals in the industry, she shared, “The fear actors and producers have is that the audience should not leave watching our work midway… We don’t want them to go away.”
As Neha Dhupia prepares for the upcoming season 6 of No Filter Neha, information from Pinkvilla suggests that Tiger Shroff and Ananya Panday are in talks to feature in the upcoming season. The actress is reportedly in discussions with JioTV to bring back another season of her popular show after a hiatus of three years. Sources close to the show have disclosed that preparations are underway, and this year’s show will be streamed on JioTV and JioTV+.
