During the interview, Park Gyu Young explained her dedication to understanding the show, saying her repeated viewings of Season 1 deepened her grasp of the series’ complex narrative. She also opened up about her character, No Eul, a former soldier and North Korean defector with a mission to reunite with the child she left behind. Speaking about the role, she said, “I could empathize with my new character because the character has such a good story.”
Interestingly, Park’s character has not been shown wearing the iconic green uniforms worn by players, sparking curiosity about her role in the story. Fans are speculating whether No Eul could be a guard or even an ally of Hwang Jun Ho, the detective who infiltrated the deadly games in Season 1.
