Ratings and Popularity
The show’s popularity continues to rise. “Buried Hearts” now holds the number one spot for its time slot across all channels. In the metropolitan area, the drama achieved an 11% rating, with a peak of 12.3%. The 20-49 age group rating reached 2.9%, demonstrating its broad appeal.
Intense Conflict and Deception
The latest episode featured a clash between Seo Dong-joo (Park Hyung Sik), Yeom Jang-seon (Heo Joon-ho), and Heo Il-do (Lee Hae-young). Yeom Jang-seon’s ruthless actions, particularly his willingness to take lives, left Seo Dong-joo deeply shaken.
Earlier, Yeom Jang-seon suspected Seo Dong-joo of faking amnesia and subjected him to torture to obtain a password for a two trillion won hacked account. Despite the pain, Seo Dong-joo remained silent, leading Yeom Jang-seon to believe his memory loss was genuine. Heo Il-do then intervened, pretending to rescue him.
Yeom Jang-seon and Heo Il-do continued to test Seo Dong-joo, unsure of his true state. Heo Il-do demanded half of the slush fund from Yeom Jang-seon, creating further tension.
Seo Dong-joo also tested Heo Il-do, confronting him late at night in his private training area. “Did you shoot at me to kill me, CEO?” he asked, adding to the suspense.

A Shocking and Tragic Event
To force Seo Dong-joo’s memory to return, Yeom Jang-seon made a shocking decision. He orchestrated the murder of Seo Dong-joo’s sister, Sister Agnes (Han Ji-hye), right before his eyes. As Seo Dong-joo watched his sister die in a staged car accident, his memories flooded back, suggesting his amnesia was broken.
The episode ended with Seo Dong-joo in shock and Yeom Jang-seon stating, “If your memory disappeared due to shock, I’ll bring it back with an even bigger shock!”
Viewers now eagerly await Seo Dong-joo’s retaliation.
