The actor shared his emotional experience in a recent interview, explaining how the final moments of the series left him overwhelmed. The Netflix hit has topped charts globally, resonating with audiences for its intense action and heartfelt friendships.

Park Ji Hoon described the final scene as a culmination of Yeon Si Eunโ€™s long struggle. The moment features a reunion between Yeon Si Eun and his best friend Ahn Su Ho (Choi Hyun Wook), who wakes up from a coma. Park Ji Hoon admitted that the emotions lingered long after filming ended.

“The emotions lingered long after the final shoot. Watching Si Eunโ€™s last smile, I thought this is what weโ€™ve all been running toward.”

He added that the entire team, including the director and crew, shared a single goalโ€”to portray Yeon Si Eunโ€™s growth authentically. Memories from both seasons flashed before his eyes, making him cry as he realized the journey was over.

The reunion scene between Yeon Si Eun and Ahn Su Ho became a fan favorite. Park Ji Hoon revealed that even off-screen, his bond with Choi Hyun Wook was strong. He admitted crying upon meeting him again during filming, saying:

“When we met again, I cried. But later, I felt like I might have expressed my emotions too much.”

The actor explained that Yeon Si Eunโ€™s character mirrored his own experiences. He related to the loneliness and struggles of forming friendships, drawing from his childhood as a former child actor.

“When I was working as a child actor, the only people I could really rely on were my parents, and I didnโ€™t have many friends. I spent a lot of time alone when I was young. Thinking back on those times, I can really understand how Si Eun feels.”
