Fans of Percy Jackson can now mark their calendars, as Disney+ has revealed the full list of episode titles and their release schedule for the highly anticipated Season 2. The new season, which adapts the second book in Rick Riordan’s series, The Sea of Monsters, will premiere with two episodes this December.

The series continues the adventures of young demigod Percy Jackson and his friends. Season 2 picks up with Percy returning to Camp Half-Blood to find it in grave danger. The magical borders protecting the camp are failing because Thalia’s tree, which powers them, has been poisoned. Percy must embark on a dangerous quest into the Sea of Monsters to find the legendary Golden Fleece, the only item powerful enough to heal the tree and save the camp. His mission is doubly urgent, as his best friend, Grover, has gone missing and needs to be rescued.

Disney+ has confirmed that Season 2 will have eight episodes, mirroring the structure of the first season. Each episode’s title is taken directly from a chapter in The Sea of Monsters book, promising a faithful adaptation that will delight fans.

A Deeper Look at the New Season’s Story

The official logline from Disney+ sets the stage for the new adventure: “After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp โ€” the legendary Golden Fleece”. Percy will not be alone on this quest. He will be joined by Annabeth Chase, the fierce Clarisse La Rue, and a new characterโ€”his Cyclops half-brother, Tyson.

Their journey will pit them against familiar enemies, including Luke Castellan and the Titan Kronos, who have a plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood and Olympus itself. The episode titles hint at key moments from the book, such as a dangerous encounter on Luke’s cruise ship, the Princess Andromeda, and a treacherous stop at a magical spa run by the sorceress Circe.

Returning and New Cast Members

The main trio of Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood) are all returning for the new season. They will be joined by Charlie Bushnell as Luke and Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse, who have been promoted to series regulars for Season 2.

A key new addition to the cast is Daniel Diemer, who will play Tyson, Percy’s loyal Cyclops brother. The season also features an impressive list of guest stars, including:

  • Courtney B. Vance as Zeus, taking over the role from the late Lance Reddick.
  • Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes.
  • Toby Stephens as Poseidon.
  • Andra Day as Athena.
  • Sandra Bernhard, Margaret Cho, and Kristen Schaal as the Gray Sisters, who share one eye and one tooth between them.

How to Watch

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+. The first two episodes arrive together on December 10, 2025. The first season, which adapted The Lightning Thief, is already available on the platform for those who need to catch up.

Production on the season wrapped in Vancouver at the end of January 2025, and the series has already been renewed for a third season, which will adapt the third book, The Titan’s Curse.
