Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 Episode 3, titled “We Board the Princess Andromeda”, streamed on December 17, 2025. The episode puts the heroes in the middle of a dangerous mission on a mysterious cruise ship. This guide details the cast and characters who bring this key part of The Sea of Monsters story to life.
Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson
Walker Scobell returns as the son of Poseidon. In this season, Percy is a year older and on a personal quest to rescue his best friend, Grover, from the Sea of Monsters. His role expands as he also becomes a protector for his new half-brother, Tyson. Scobell has described this new duty, explaining he has to learn to be Tyson’s guardian, much like his own mother was for him. The actor first gained major attention for his role in The Adam Project before landing the lead in this series.
Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase
Leah Sava Jeffries again plays Annabeth Chase, the intelligent daughter of Athena. As a seasoned demigod, Annabeth uses her strategic mind and fighting skills to help Percy navigate the threats aboard the Princess Andromeda. Her character carries the weight of knowledge about The Great Prophecy, which foretells a child of the “Big Three” gods deciding the fate of Olympus. Jeffries’ portrayal has been a standout since the show’s beginning.
Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue
Dior Goodjohn has been elevated to a main role in Season 2. Her character, Clarisse La Rue, is the daughter of Ares officially chosen for the quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece. In Episode 3, she is not with Percy and Annabeth but is on her own parallel journey. The episode shows her being surprised by her father, who provides her with a submarine and crew for her mission. Goodjohn’s role grew from recurring in the first season to central in the second.
Daniel Diemer as Tyson
Daniel Diemer is the major new addition to the main cast this season as Tyson. Tyson is a gentle cyclops and, as Poseidon’s son, Percy’s half-brother. Episode 3 shows his cleverness as he helps Percy and Annabeth escape from the cruise ship. In the story, Sally Jackson discovered Tyson living on the streets and took him in, creating a new family dynamic for Percy.
Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan
Charlie Bushnell plays Luke Castellan, the son of Hermes who has turned against the gods. After being revealed as the lightning thief in Season 1, Luke is now a clear antagonist, leading Kronos’s army from the deck of the Princess Andromeda. His character is driven by a deep resentment toward the gods for neglecting their demigod children.
Beatrice Kitsos as Alison Simms
Beatrice Kitsos appears as Alison Simms, a new character created specifically for the TV series. Alison is a daughter of Apollo and one of the few demigods to have graduated from Camp Half-Blood. She has chosen to join Luke and Kronos’s army, representing the faction of demigods disillusioned with the Olympians. Her presence adds a layer of conflict among the demigods themselves.
