Production is moving quickly on the live-action adaptation of the popular video game franchise. New Cast Members Join the Live-Action Adaptation

The upcoming Prime Video series, which is currently filming in Vancouver, Canada, has expanded its ensemble with four integral characters. According to the official announcement, Ben Chapple will play Magni, Louis Cunningham is set to portray Modi, and Island Austin has been cast as Thrúd, Thor’s daughter . Additionally, Evelyn Miller joins the cast as Gna, the fierce leader of Odin’s Valkyrie warriors .

These characters are central to the Norse mythology arc that the show is adapting from the recent games. Magni and Modi are the sons of Thor, known for their brutish strength and connection to the story’s primary antagonist, Baldur . The official character descriptions from Prime Video offer a glimpse into their personalities. Magni is described as handsome, adventurous, and an excellent hunter, though the life of an immortal playboy has begun to feel hollow, leaving him searching for a greater purpose. He remains extremely protective of his younger brother, Modi. In contrast, Modi has a gentle disposition and an insatiably curious mind, often getting lost in puzzles and complex problems .

Who Are the Actors Playing Magni, Modi, and Thrúd?

The casting choices bring a mix of rising talent to the highly anticipated series. Ben Chapple (Magni), known for his role in Good Cop Bad Cop, steps into the role of Thor and Sif’s elder son. Louis Cunningham (Modi), who has appeared in Marie Antoinette and Bridgerton, will portray the more introspective middle child .

Island Austin, recognized from Insidious 6, takes on the role of Thrúd. The character description teases that she is precocious, inquisitive, and fearless, with a natural yearning for knowledge. She often acts as a peacemaker within her troubled family and shares a special bond with her grandfather, Odin, who sees seeds of greatness in her .

Rounding out the new additions is Evelyn Miller (Foundation) as Gna. Described as a fierce warrior devoted to her duty, Gna’s loyalty to Odin borders on fanatical. She is highly disciplined and uncompromising in her role serving the realm .
