2PM’s Junho recently shared a personal story involving a close call with a sasaeng fan, who tracked down his home and attempted to break in.
During his guest appearance on the YouTube show Salon Drip 2, Junho talked about how his group’s hit song “My House” led to an unsettling encounter with an overly obsessive fan. While the song speaks about a man inviting a woman back to his house, some fans took this idea too literally.
Fan Takes Song Lyrics Too Far
Junho mentioned that he has performed “My House” in various places, but the song’s message was misunderstood by certain fans.
“I’ve sung ‘My House’ in various places, and there were actually people who came to my house,” Junho revealed during the show.
One particularly alarming experience took place when Junho returned home from work and was greeted by a voice in the darkness.
Sasaeng Fan Outside His Home
Junho explained that while entering his home, just as the elevator doors opened and before the lights came on, he heard someone call out “oppa” from the shadows. Trying to remain composed, he asked who it was, only to find a sasaeng fan sitting near the entrance of his home.
“One time, I got home, and as the elevator doors were opening, just before the sensor lights turned on, I heard someone call ‘oppa,’ which startled me. I tried to stay calm and asked who it was, and they replied, ‘Oppa, it’s me.’ A sasaeng fan was sitting in front of the box by the door,” Junho recounted.
Fan Travels from Another Country
When Junho asked how the fan had managed to get to his house, the fan replied with a shocking answer: they had traveled from another country, believing that Junho had personally invited them to his home.
“They told me, ‘You said to come to your house.’ I was so shocked, realizing that they could actually come,” Junho added.
Junho’s Calm Response
Despite the situation, Junho managed to handle it without letting things escalate. He calmly had his manager take control of the situation, ensuring that no further harm was done.
“I handed them over to my manager and that was the end of it,” he concluded.
This incident serves as a reminder of the extreme lengths some fans will go to in pursuit of their idols. Thankfully, Junho’s calm handling prevented the situation from turning dangerous.
