SEVENTEEN has become the highest-earning K-pop touring act of 2025, generating 167 billion KRW (about $129 million) from their ‘RIGHT HERE’ world tour. According to Billboard’s midyear Boxscore report, they rank third globally, behind only Coldplay and Shakira, marking a historic achievement for a K-pop group.

The tour included 30 shows across 14 cities in North America and Asia, drawing 842,000 fans. Their success highlights their growing influence in the global music industry, nearly doubling their revenue from last year. Other K-pop acts like ATEEZ and BTS’ J-Hope followed but fell short of SEVENTEEN’s record-breaking numbers.

SEVENTEEN’s Record-Breaking Tour Success

SEVENTEEN’s ‘RIGHT HERE’ tour started in Goyang, South Korea, in October 2024 and wrapped up in February 2025. The group performed in major cities, including Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Seoul, selling out stadiums and arenas. Their high-energy performances and strong fan engagement contributed to their massive ticket sales.

Billboard’s data shows SEVENTEEN earned $120.9 million from 842,000 tickets sold during the tracking period (October 2024 to March 2025). This places them ahead of legendary acts like Eagles ($112.2 million) and just behind Shakira ($130 million) and Coldplay ($142.1 million). Their growth is staggering—last year, they ranked 16th with $67.5 million in revenue.

Their latest mini-album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, also set records with 2.27 million copies sold on its first day. Combined with their touring success, SEVENTEEN is dominating both live performances and album sales in 2025.

K-Pop’s Rising Global Touring Power

SEVENTEEN leads a wave of K-pop acts making history in global touring. ATEEZ earned $28.4 million (KRW 39.2 billion), while BTS member J-Hope’s solo tour brought in $28.1 million (KRW 38.8 billion). ENHYPEN and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) also made the top five, earning $25.6 million and $25.1 million, respectively.

This marks a significant shift in the music industry. K-pop’s total midyear touring revenue reached $228 million, a 79% increase from 2024. More K-pop artists are now performing in stadiums worldwide, proving the genre’s expanding global appeal.

SEVENTEEN’s success is particularly notable because they are the first K-pop act to rank this high on Billboard’s all-genre midyear list. They surpassed BTS’ previous record of No. 4 in 2022, showing how quickly K-pop is growing beyond its traditional fanbase.

How SEVENTEEN’s Tour Compared to Other Major Acts

Coldplay remains the top touring act globally, earning $142.1 million. Shakira follows with $130 million, thanks to her popular comeback tour. SEVENTEEN’s $120.9 million puts them ahead of many Western superstars, proving K-pop’s commercial strength.

In the K-pop category, SEVENTEEN’s lead is massive. ATEEZ and J-Hope, while successful, earned less than a quarter of SEVENTEEN’s revenue. ENHYPEN and TXT also posted strong numbers but couldn’t match the top three.

The group’s ability to sell out large venues worldwide reflects their dedicated fanbase, CARATs. Their concerts feature elaborate stages, synchronized choreography, and fan interactions, making each show a must-see event.

With their current momentum, SEVENTEEN is expected to announce more tour dates later in 2025. Their success could inspire other K-pop groups to expand their touring strategies, targeting more international markets.

BTS members, currently focusing on solo projects, may also return with group tours after their military service ends. Meanwhile, ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, and TXT continue to grow their global fanbases with their own world tours.

SEVENTEEN’s record-breaking year proves that K-pop is no longer a niche market. Their ability to compete with top global artists signals a new era for the genre, where live performances drive massive revenue and cultural influence.
