SHINee is set to release a new single titled “Poet | Artist” on May 25, marking their 17th debut anniversary. The singleโs name is a tribute to Jonghyunโs posthumous album, which was released in 2018 after his passing. This will be SHINeeโs first single album in Korea, making it a special moment for fans.
The group shared a trailer and album details, introducing five “fluffy” characters representing different versions of the single. Each doll has a unique shapeโheart, star, and othersโall in SHINeeโs signature pearl aqua green, their official fandom color. The dolls also feature accent colors matching the membersโ personalized microphone shades from their early days .
A promotional concept photo shows four hands touching, symbolizing the current membersโOnew, Key, Minho, and Taeminโwhile honoring Jonghyunโs memory. Fans have expressed deep emotion over the tribute, calling it a touching way to remember him. The single includes two tracks, with one being the title song .
The release is part of “SHINee Week”, a celebration running from May 18 to 25. The group will stream past concerts on their YouTube channel and hold a three-day concert, “SHINee World VII [E.S.S.A.Y]”, at Seoulโs KSPO Dome. All shows are sold out, proving the groupโs lasting popularity .
