A recent online post has sparked widespread discussion after suggesting that BTS leader RM and BLACKPINK member Jisoo might be dating. The rumors are based on perceived similarities in their social media posts from separate trips to London. Netizens have been divided in their reactions, with some calling the evidence mere coincidence and others believing it hints at a possible relationship.
The “Evidence” Presented by Netizens
The dating rumors began when a post on an online community pointed out similarities in photos from RM and Jisoo’s personal social media accounts. The post compared shots of the two idols visiting the same famous locations in London, though at different times.
The first set of photos showed both RM and Jisoo at an art exhibition featuring works by the famous Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara at the Southbank Centre in London. The original poster found it interesting that both K-Pop stars chose to visit and photograph the same specific art display.
Another part of the compared photos featured images of both idols in front of the London Eye. The post highlighted that the photos were taken from a similar angle and position at the popular tourist spot. It is important to note that RM’s photos were taken from a vlog he posted more recently, while Jisoo’s photos were from an Instagram post shared back in August, when BLACKPINK was in the city for their world tour.
Mixed Reactions from Fans and Netizens
The online community had mixed reactions to the alleged evidence. Many netizens were quick to dismiss the rumors, pointing out the logical explanations behind the similar photos.
One user commented on the situation, stating, “That screenshot of RM is from his vlog. If you actually watch the vlog, you can see who he went with lol. They just went to see a famous exhibition, took photos and videos at popular spots — basically just full-on tourist mode.” This sentiment was shared by others who believed the similarities were simply because both idols were visiting famous London landmarks.
Other fans, however, felt the similarities were noteworthy. Some netizens even thought the two idols would be a good match, with one writing, “I’ve always thought their personalities would match well.” Another netizen found the specific positioning in the museum photos interesting, suggesting it was more than just a coincidence.
A Common Source for K-Pop Rumors
This is not the first time Jisoo has been linked to a BTS member through dating rumors. Previously, similar speculation involved BTS’s Jin, sparked by photos of them wearing similar checker-patterned shirts. Fans were divided then as well, with some celebrating the possibility and others dismissing it as a simple coincidence in fashion choices. No official confirmation was ever released regarding those rumors.
Dating rumors often arise in the K-Pop industry when idols are photographed in the same locations or are seen with similar items. These speculations can spread quickly online, fueled by social media posts and discussions in fan communities.
Recent Public Appearances
While the London photos are at the center of the current rumor, the two idols were also in the same place more recently. In early September, both RM and the BLACKPINK members Jisoo and Rosé attended the Frieze Seoul art event. A short video from the event showed RM waving in the direction of the BLACKPINK members as they were leaving, which led to some online discussion about whether they had interacted. However, no evidence of a direct conversation was seen, and some fans clarified that RM was likely waving to his friend.
Most recently, in October 2025, Jisoo and fellow BTS member Jimin both attended the Christian Dior show at Paris Fashion Week. They were seated in the front row alongside other global celebrities, but no interactions between Jisoo and Jimin were reported to fuel any further speculation regarding RM.
As of now, there has been no official statement from HYBE or YG Entertainment, the respective agencies of RM and Jisoo, regarding the dating rumors. The two idols remain focused on their careers, with BTS working on a new group album and BLACKPINK continuing their solo and group activities.
