The new SBS romantic comedy Sold Out on You just dropped its main posters, and they are getting everyone talking. Ahn Hyo-seop trades his city suits for farming boots, while Chae Won-bin brings her high-energy hosting skills to the countryside. These two look completely opposite, and that is exactly the point of this show.
The drama is set to premiere on April 22, 2026, and will be available for streaming on Netflix in multiple regions including the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and India. Fans of K-dramas have been waiting for Ahn Hyo-seop to return to a light romantic comedy, and this one looks like it will deliver plenty of laughs and awkward moments.
Two Posters Show Two Different Worlds
The production team released two main posters on April 3, 2026, and each one shows a completely different side of the lead characters. The first poster takes place on Matthew Lee’s farm. He is the character played by Ahn Hyo-seop, a farmer who grows rare white mushrooms. In the image, he looks totally comfortable sitting among his crops. He wears a relaxed expression, like this is exactly where he belongs.
Right next to him sits Dam Ye-jin, played by Chae Won-bin. She is a famous home shopping host who came to the countryside to get those special mushrooms. But she looks completely out of place. She wears a business suit but has on arm guards and rain boots. She even carries a cloth bundle on her head. Her face shows a funny pout, like she cannot believe she ended up in this situation.
The second poster moves to a television studio. Now the roles switch. Cameras and lights surround both characters as they stare straight into the lens with confident looks. The caption on this poster says, “There’s no time to think it over! Tune in right now!” This fits perfectly with the home shopping theme of the show. Matthew Lee might be a farmer, but he also works multiple jobs, and one of them puts him in front of the camera.
What Is Sold Out on You About?
Sold Out on You follows Matthew Lee, a perfectionist farmer who everyone calls “Quail Lee” because of how his name sounds in Korean. He works multiple jobs to keep things running. Dam Ye-jin is a top home shopping host who suffers from severe insomnia. She cannot sleep, and her job demands that she always stays energetic and sells products to viewers.
Their worlds crash into each other when Dam Ye-jin finds out about the rare white mushrooms that Matthew Lee grows. She travels to his quiet village of Deokpung to get her hands on them. But Matthew wants nothing to do with her. He tries to keep her away with cold looks and firm rejections. She does not give up easily.
“CEO? Please, I’m begging you.” – Dam Ye-jin
“I’m not a CEO. And no, you absolutely cannot.” – Matthew Lee
These lines from the poster show exactly how their relationship starts. She keeps pushing, and he keeps saying no.
A Story About Healing, Not Just Romance
The second teaser that dropped on April 1, 2026 showed a different side of the story. It is not just about two people who argue all the time. There is pain underneath the surface. Matthew Lee is seen running to the emergency room, screaming like he has lost everything. Dam Ye-jin, who always acts tough, finally breaks down and cries.
Both characters have been pretending they are fine. They have not been taking care of themselves. When they meet, they slowly start to heal each other. Matthew tells her, “Everyone will eventually see that your choice was the right one.” These quiet moments of support balance out the funny arguments.
The final scene of the teaser shows them both worn down by life, finally able to say a peaceful “Good night” to each other. For someone who cannot sleep, finding peace is a big deal.
The Cast and Their Characters
Ahn Hyo-seop leads the cast as Matthew Lee. He is known for his roles in Dr. Romantic 2, Lovers of the Red Sky, and the movie KPop Demon Hunters. At the script reading, he brought energy to the scenes by adding sound effects for driving a tractor and doing farm work.
Chae Won-bin plays Dam Ye-jin. She won the Baeksang Arts Awards Best New Actress for her previous work. At the script reading, she showed her character’s confident side with a strong voice and engaging gestures.
Kim Bum joins the cast as Seo Eric, an executive director at a cosmetics company. His character stands between Matthew and Dam Ye-jin, creating interesting tension. He greets her first and talks closely with her right in front of Matthew.
Other cast members include veteran actress Go Doo-shim, who plays an influential figure in Deokpung Village, along with Park Ah-in, Shin Dong-mi, Jo Woo-ri, and Woo Hee-jin.
Behind the Scenes and Production
The drama is written by Jin Seung-hee, a rookie writer, and directed by Ahn Jong-yeon, who previously directed Seoul Busters (2024). Production comes from Beyond J (known for Nevertheless and A Shop for Killers), Studio S, and Slingshot Studios.
The cast held their script reading earlier, and the energy in the room was positive. Director Ahn Jong-yeon said, “I’ll make an enjoyable and happy set.” The actors clearly got along well, with Ahn Hyo-seop and Chae Won-bin showing great bickering chemistry even when just reading lines.
