Nick E. Tarabay returns to play the lead role of Ashur. The story introduces Achillia, played by Tenika Davis, who is forced by Ashur to become a gladiatrix—a female gladiator. This move shocks the traditional Roman world and becomes a central plot point.
Other key cast members include Graham McTavish as Korris, the trainer of the gladiators, and Lucy Lawless, who briefly reprises her original role as Lucretia. The series also features Jamaica Vaughan and Ivana Baquero as body slaves, and introduces historical figures like Julius Caesar, played by Jackson Gallagher.
