The Forger family is back. Spy x Family Season 3 officially started on October 4, 2025, with an episode that delivered the same mix of action, comedy, and misunderstanding that fans love. The season premiere, split into two stories, saw the Forgers turn a construction site into a giant robot battle while two supporting characters were forced to work together on a secret mission.
A Family Outing Turns into a Machine Battle
The first story, titled “Berlint Panic,” begins with Loid, Yor, Anya, and Bond enjoying a peaceful day at a carnival. The fun is interrupted when Bond, the family dog with the power to see the future, has a vision of a construction excavator causing chaos. Anya, who can read minds, discovers the problem: a stressed and overworked construction worker is being forced to work on a holiday and is about to snap.
What follows is a classic Forger family misunderstanding. Each family member swings into action based on their own secret skills and wrong ideas about what is really happening. Loid, the master spy, uses his quick thinking. Yor, the deadly assassin, uses her combat skills. Anya uses her telepathy to try and guide everyone. They all believe they are stopping a major crisis, but they are really just reacting to one man’s bad day. The situation turns into a dramatic and funny showdown with construction equipment, making a simple site look like a battle from a giant robot show.
An Unlikely Team-Up for a Secret Mission
The second half of the episode, “The Informant and Nightfall,” shifts the focus to two supporting characters. Fiona Frost, the cool and professional spy known as Nightfall, is given a mission to get forged export documents. To help her, she has to work with Franky Franklin, a quirky and emotional informant.
Their personalities could not be more different. Franky is excited to pretend to be Fiona’s boyfriend for their cover story. Fiona, who is secretly in love with Loid, finds the situation annoying. The episode shows their tense and funny fake date at a nightclub as they try to find a document forger. Despite their constant bickering, they must work together when their mission is interrupted by enemy agents. The mission also shows a small glimpse into the politics between the nations of Ostania and Westalis, where a government official’s need for special strawberries for a birthday party leads to a spy mission.
Fans Welcome the Show’s Return
After the episode aired, fans online shared their excitement for the new season. Many were happy to see the Forger family back in action. The new pairing of Fiona and Franky was a highlight for viewers, with many noting their funny and chaotic chemistry. The animation from studios Wit Studio and CloverWorks was also praised for being as vibrant and dynamic as in previous seasons.
