After five years away from television dramas, actor Park Seo-joon is returning to the screen in a new romantic series, Surely Tomorrow. The show also stars Won Ji-an as his former lover, creating a story about a couple who get a surprising third chance at love under complicated circumstances. The drama is scheduled to begin a global run on Prime Video in December.

The Story of Lee Gyeong-do and Seo Ji-woo

“Surely Tomorrow” follows the intertwined lives of Lee Gyeong-do (Park Seo-joon) and Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an). Their love story spans many years, having first fallen for each other in their early twenties, only to break up. They rekindled their relationship in their late twenties, but ultimately parted ways for a second time.

Years later, fate brings them together again in a completely unexpected way. Gyeong-do is now a journalist working for the Dongwoon Ilbo newspaper. His latest assignment is covering a sensational scandal involving infidelity. Ji-woo, meanwhile, is the wife of the man at the center of that very scandal. This difficult situation forces them to confront their unresolved past and personal history under the pressure of public scrutiny, opening a surprising third chapter in their relationship.

Park Seo-joon shared his thoughts on choosing this project for his TV comeback. He mentioned being drawn to how closely the story reflects everyday lives and how relatable it would be to many people. He also expressed a special affection for his character, describing Lee Gyeong-do as “pure-hearted” and “sincere,” noting that his steadfast heart is what makes him so appealing.
