The sudden passing of Song Jae Rim has left the entertainment world in shock. The beloved actor, who was just 39 years old, was found dead on November 12, sending a wave of sadness across the industry. His colleagues, including some of the biggest names in Korean entertainment, have sent condolence wreaths as a tribute to him.

Industry Colleagues Mourn His Passing

Notable actors like Kim Soo Hyun, So Ji Sub, Go Kyung Pyo, Kim Dong Wook, Han Yeseul, Kang Hoon, and Kang Han Na have all sent wreaths to the St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Home in Yeouido, where Song Jae Rim’s mortuary is located. Shin Ye Eun is also among the actors paying their respects. The funeral will take place on November 14 at 12 PM KST, with his final resting place at the Seoul City Crematorium.

“It’s heart-wrenching to lose such a talented actor and a kind soul,” shared a close industry colleague.

Circumstances Surrounding His Death

Song Jae Rim’s unexpected death has left many questions unanswered. His body was discovered by a friend, with whom he was supposed to meet for a meal. Seoul Sungdong Police have confirmed that there is no indication of foul play, but a two-page letter found at the scene has led to suspicions of a possible suicide. The content of the letter has not been revealed to the public, and the investigation is still ongoing.

“I miss you so much, and I am deeply sorry for what you went through,” wrote one fan in an emotional online tribute.

His Career and Legacy

Song Jae Rim was known for his standout roles in popular K-dramas such as We Got Married, where his on-screen chemistry with Kim So Eun gained widespread attention. He also starred in dramas like Our Gap Soon, The Moon Embracing the Sun, I Wanna Hear Your Song, Queen Woo, and Cafe Minamdong.

He was preparing for his big-screen return, having completed filming for three upcoming movies: Death Business, I’ll Become Rich, and Salmon. These films were all set to be released soon, marking a significant chapter in his career that now stands as his final legacy.
