The official release date for the highly anticipated third season of Hulu’s addictive drama Tell Me Lies has been confirmed. The new chapter will continue to follow the toxic and tangled relationship between Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco as they promise each other that this time will be different.

The upcoming season will premiere on January 13, 2026. The first two episodes of the eight-episode season will debut that day on Hulu in the U.S. and on Disney+ for international viewers. New episodes will then be released weekly, with the season finale scheduled for February 24, 2026.

When and Where to Watch

Mark your calendars for a winter filled with drama. Tell Me Lies Season 3 will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu in the United States starting January 13, 2026. For viewers outside the U.S., the season will be available on Disney+.

The season will consist of eight episodes. After the two-episode premiere on January 13, the subsequent six episodes will be released one per week.

What Season 3 Is About

The official story description sets the stage for more chaos. The season finds Lucy and Stephen having rekindled their tumultuous romance just in time for the spring semester at Baird College. They both promise that things will be different this time, but their best intentions are immediately hindered by past mistakes.

โ€œLucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy she wants nothing to do with,โ€ the official synopsis reads. Meanwhile, the disastrous events from the previous year force Lucy and Stephenโ€™s entire friend group to confront their own destructive behaviors. As scandalous secrets continue to fester around campus, vicious consequences threaten Lucy and everyone in her circle.

The new season will pick up directly after the shocking Season 2 finale, which saw Stephen send Bree a recorded confession of her fiancรฉ, Evan, admitting he slept with Lucy years prior, just as Bree and Evan were about to walk down the aisle.

Series showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer teased that the fallout will be intense. โ€œI think there needs to be blood. Not literal blood. I think that a lot of people are rightfully very distraught at the end of this season, and I think some revenge needs to happen, or justice,โ€ she said.

Who Is Returning for the New Season

The main cast members are all set to return for the third season. This includes Grace Van Patten as Lucy Albright and Jackson White as Stephen DeMarco, whose off-screen romance is said to bring a layer of trust to their intense on-screen performances.

They will be joined by returning series regulars Catherine Missal as Bree, Spencer House as Wrigley, Sonia Mena as Pippa, Branden Cook as Evan, and Alicia Crowder as Diana. Despite previous uncertainty about his return, Tom Ellis is also confirmed to be back as Professor Oliver.

New Faces Joining the Cast

Season 3 will introduce some new characters to the mix. Iris Apatow has joined the cast in the recurring role of Amanda, described as a bubbly but fragile college freshman who is keeping a big secret.

Additionally, Costa Dโ€™Angelo has been cast as Alex, a psychology graduate student and part-time drug dealer who shares a complicated past with Bree.

A Look at the Story Ahead

The third season will continue to explore its dual timelines, but the balance is expected to shift. Showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer indicated that while the 2008 college timeline will still be present to wrap up necessary storylines, the 2015 timeline will take up more of the narrative, showing the characters further into their future.

The cast has promised that the new season raises the stakes even higher. Grace Van Patten described the upcoming season as โ€œthe peak of all of these peopleโ€™s worst decisionsโ€ and teased that itโ€™s โ€œfucking chaotic.โ€

โ€œI didnโ€™t think it could get crazier, but fans are in for a ride,โ€ Van Patten shared. โ€œThereโ€™s more chaos; thereโ€™s more juicy juice. Even we donโ€™t know what happens at the end of the season.โ€

Executive producer and director Tyne Rafaeli hinted that the show is entering darker territory, saying, โ€œTheyโ€™re entering into dark areas of sexual relationships and psychological relationships that I donโ€™t think this show has seen yet.โ€

The fallout from Drewโ€™s tragic death will continue to haunt his brother, Wrigley. Actor Spencer House noted that his character will have to carry the weight of his brother’s death for the rest of his life, a burden that will shape his journey in the new season.
