Netflix will release a new Spanish psychological thriller on March 13, 2026. The series, titled That Night, is based on a bestselling novel and follows three sisters whose vacation takes a disastrous turn.

The plot of That Night centers on a family holiday that spirals into a nightmare. During a vacation in the Dominican Republic, a young woman named Elena accidentally hits a man with her car. Panicked and scared, she calls her two sisters, Paula and Cris, for help. When they arrive, the three sisters face an impossible choice. They are terrified that Elena could go to jail, which would leave her young child without a mother. The story explores a difficult question: how far would you go to protect your family? The series is an adaptation of the Sunday Times bestselling novel of the same name by British author Gillian McAllister. The original book, published in 2021, was a major success and was selected for the Richard & Judy Book Club. While the novel was set between Italy and Birmingham, England, the Netflix adaptation moves the primary location to the Dominican Republic. - Claudia Salas plays Paula, one of the sisters who rushes to help. Salas is famous for her role as Rebe in the long-running Netflix hit series Elite and has also starred in Salvador.
- Paula Usero plays Cris, the other sister. Usero’s previous work includes the series Las abogadas and Love Is Forever (also known as Love in Difficult Times).

That Night is created and written by Jason George, who is known for his work as a writer and producer on Netflix’s acclaimed series Narcos. George also serves as an executive producer alongside Marian Fernández Pascal. The scripts were co-written by Lara Sendim, who also acts as creative producer. The series is directed by Jorge Dorado (Mindscape, The Head) and Liliana Torres (Mamífera, Kimeres).
