THE BOYZ is moving forward with their 2025 world tour “THE BLAZE” as a 9-member group following the removal of Ju Haknyeon due to a scandal involving a Japanese adult film star. The tour will begin in Seoul on August 8 and visit multiple cities across Asia.
THE BOYZ World Tour Details
The groupโs agency, ONE HUNDRED Label, confirmed the tour on June 26, 2025. The first concerts will take place at KSPO Dome in Seoul from August 8 to August 10. After Seoul, the tour will visit:
- Nagoya, Yokohama, Kobe, and Tokyo (Japan)
- Macau
- Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
- Taipei (Taiwan)
- Bangkok (Thailand)
More cities may be added later. This is THE BOYZโs first world tour in over a year, following their successful “Zeneration II” concerts in 2024.
Why THE BOYZ Is Now a 9-Member Group
Originally an 12-member group, THE BOYZ will perform as 9 members this time. Two members are missing:
- Sangyeon (Leader) โ Currently serving mandatory military service since March 2025.
- Ju Haknyeon โ Officially removed from the group on June 18, 2025 after a scandal.
Ju Haknyeonโs Controversy and Departure
Haknyeon was seen in photos with former Japanese adult film actress Asuka Kirara at a Tokyo hotel in May 2025. The images caused major backlash, with rumors of illegal activities.
Haknyeon denied any wrongdoing, saying:
“On May 30, 2025, it is true that I attended a private drinking gathering with an acquaintance. However, I want to completely deny that I have ever engaged in prostitution or any illegal activity. I am deeply reflecting on my actions and sincerely apologize.”
Despite his apology, ONE HUNDRED Label terminated his contract, stating:
“We have decided that Ju Haknyeon will withdraw from THE BOYZ. This decision was made to protect the group and maintain trust with fans.”
A police complaint was also filed against Haknyeon in Gangnam, accusing him of violating South Koreaโs prostitution laws. He has since sued the media outlet that reported the story for defamation.
THE BOYZ Membersโ Response
After Haknyeonโs exit, the remaining members posted messages to fans on a fan communication platform. Sunwoo wrote:
“I will never do anything that would betray your trust. I will reflect on my past mistakes and strive to be better.”
Younghoon added:
“The B, you must be so tired and exhausted. Iโm really, truly sorry. Seeing your smiling faces always made me happy, but now Iโm upset because Iโm afraid I wonโt be able to see those smiles anymore.”
Record-Breaking Album Success Before the Tour
Earlier in 2025, THE BOYZ released their third full album “Unexpected”, which sold over 740,000 copies in its first weekโa personal record. The albumโs success has boosted expectations for their upcoming tour.
The group will continue as 9 members for now. Fans are eager to see how they adapt to the lineup change and what new performances they will bring.
