What the Show is About
For new viewers, The Hunting Party is a procedural crime drama. The story begins with a catastrophic explosion at “The Pit,” a top-secret, underground prison in Wyoming that the government does not officially acknowledge.
The explosion frees the world’s most dangerous serial killers. Rebecca “Bex” Henderson, a skilled former FBI profiler, is pulled back into action. She leads a small, specialized team with one mission: track down and recapture these escaped killers before they can hurt anyone else.
As Bex and her team chase each criminal, they also work to uncover the larger mystery of what The Pit really was and who caused the explosion. The first season reached over 30 million viewers across all platforms.
The series was created by JJ Bailey, who serves as co-showrunner with Jake Coburn. It is produced by Universal Television.
