The psychological thriller “The Manipulated” continues its tense story this week with two new episodes. After a dramatic cliffhanger that left its hero’s fate uncertain, the next phase of the revenge plot is set to begin. The new episodes will explore the escalating conflict between the falsely accused Park Taejoong and the mysterious mastermind Ahn Yohan.
Fans won’t have to wait long to see what happens next. Episodes 5 and 6 of “The Manipulated” are scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, November 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM Korean Standard Time (KST). The series is released on the Disney+ streaming platform under its Hulu content brand. The show follows a unique release pattern, dropping two new episodes weekly until the 12-episode season concludes on December 3.
The Story So Far: From Framing to Failed Escape
“The Manipulated” tells the story of an ordinary man, Park Taejoong (played by Ji Chang-wook), whose life is destroyed when he is framed for a violent crime he did not commit. After answering a stranger’s call for a simple delivery job, he is wrongfully arrested for murder and sent to prison.
While behind bars, Taejoong faces harassment from other inmates and is further devastated by his brother’s suicide. He eventually discovers that his entire ordeal was orchestrated by a calculating genius named Ahn Yohan (played by EXO’s D.O.). With this knowledge, Taejoong begins to plan his revenge, focusing on survival and a carefully plotted escape.
The first four episodes built towards Taejoong’s first major attempt to break free. However, his plan was sabotaged at the last moment. A prison doctor, likely working for Yohan, administered a vaccination that secretly contained poison. Just as Taejoong began his escape in Episode 4, the poison took effect, causing him to collapse, leaving his fate unknown.
What’s Next in the Prison Battle
Episodes 5 and 6 promise to raise the stakes even higher. The central conflict between Taejoong and Yohan will intensify as Taejoong works to turn the tables on those who framed him. Prison politics are set to become more dangerous, with inmate leader Yeo Deoksu taking on a larger role in the unfolding conflict.
Meanwhile, the villain Yohan will continue to tighten his grip inside the prison. He uses manipulation and bribery to control both convicts and prison officials, creating a system where he holds all the power. The upcoming episodes will see Taejoong pushing forward with his fight against this corrupt system while dealing with the immediate physical threat of the poison in his body.
Where to Watch the New Episodes
“The Manipulated” is available exclusively on Disney+ as part of its Hulu content lineup. The series can be streamed on the platform with a standard subscription. The show features a strong ensemble cast including Lee Kwang-soo as Baek Do-kyeong and Jo Yoon-su as Noh Eun-bi.
After the release of Episodes 5 and 6, the remaining six episodes of the series will continue to be released in pairs of two every week.
