In the newly released images, Gong Yoo portrays Han Jeong Won, and Seo Hyun Jin plays Noh In Ji, as their characters begin to form a genuine connection despite the nature of their contract marriage. The scene is filled with palpable tension, with Lee Seo Yeon provocatively wiping her ex-husband Han Jeong Won’s mouth in front of both Noh In Ji and her current husband, Yoon Ji Oh. This provocative action underscores the complicated relationships and conflicting motivations of the characters, amplifying curiosity about the drama’s unfolding secrets.
Based on the novel Trunk by Kim Ryeo Ryeong, the series delves into the concept of contract marriages. Noh In Ji works for NM, a company specializing in providing spouses for one-year fixed-term contract marriages. Having completed her fourth contract, she is matched with Han Jeong Won, a music producer burdened by pain and loneliness.
Directed by Kim Kyu Tae and written by Park Eun Young, The Trunk is set to premiere on November 29, 2024, exclusively on Netflix.
