“I’ll tell you a little secret – well, it’s not even secret. I brought that with me. I was at Netflix previously and I developed that there. I have been in love with that show ever since it was pitched to me at lunch one day,” said Lisa Hamilton Daly.
What Is The Way Home About?
The series follows three generations of the Landry family. Kat Landry, played by Chyler Leigh, returns to her hometown of Port Haven after nearly two decades away following a divorce and job loss. She brings her teenage daughter, Alice, who has never met her grandmother, Del, portrayed by Andie MacDowell.
The family’s drama unfolds across different time periods after Alice discovers a magical pond on their property that allows for time travel. The pond transports the women to key moments in their family’s past, including the 1990s and 1970s, where they meet younger versions of their relatives, including Kat’s father, Colton, who died in the present timeline.

Most recently, they addressed a popular theory that Del was pregnant during her early dates with Colton. Alexandra Clarke stated that this idea was “never even a thought that entered our minds,” confirming that the storyline was not part of their intended narrative.
