A new streaming option has arrived for viewers looking for entertainment that aligns with family values. Wonder Project, a new subscription channel, is now available on Prime Video, offering a curated library of faith-based and inspirational content. The service launched on October 5, 2025, and is already making waves by offering early access to the second season of its hit biblical drama, House of David.

What Subscribers Get with Wonder Project

For $8.99 per month or $89.99 annually, a Wonder Project subscription provides access to a specially selected collection of movies and series. The library includes over 125 values-driven titles, a mix of exclusive originals and licensed favorites. The service is designed as an ad-free experience, ensuring uninterrupted viewing.

The content is built around four central themes: God, family, country, and dreams. This approach aims to provide stories that inspire hope and restore faith in things worth believing in. Subscribers can find a range of titles, from classic films like The Sound of Music and Dead Poets Society to series like The Conners and Party of Five.

A unique feature Wonder Project offers is “Edited Versions of Movie Favorites.” For some films in the collection, viewers have the option to watch TV-edited versions. These are versions that were originally refined for broadcast television, not edited by Wonder Project itself. The edits are intended to remove mature content while keeping the main story intact, giving families more control over what they watch.

Behind the Scenes of the New Service

Wonder Project was founded by Jon Erwin, an acclaimed director known for faith-based films, and Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten, a former executive from Netflix and YouTube. The company positions itself as a trusted brand for premium, values-driven entertainment.

Jon Erwin explained the motivation behind the service, stating, > “Iโ€™m in my early 40s, a father of four kids, and I canโ€™t get anything that my kids and I can watch together. I donโ€™t know if a show that Iโ€™m watching is going to be offensive or not. Thereโ€™s a beautiful thing about Wonder Project. I am the audience.”

Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten highlighted the flexible approach to the service’s strategy, modeled after her time at Netflix. She said the key is to look at the project, the partner, and ask, “What is the best thing for the audience?”

House of David Season 2 Leads the Launch

The launch of the Wonder Project channel is closely tied to the release of House of David Season 2. In a strategic move, the first two episodes of the new season premiered exclusively on the Wonder Project channel on its launch day. The series will become available to all Prime Video subscribers at a later date.

“House of David offers an early home for fans who are eager to see it first, and when the series arrives on Prime Video, it reaches a much larger audience worldwide,” explained Traci Blackwell, a senior development executive at Amazon MGM Studios. “For us, itโ€™s about extending the impact and ensuring the show has multiple opportunities to capture viewers across platforms.”

The first season of House of David, which follows the iconic shepherd who becomes the King of Israel, was a major success. It captivated over 44 million viewers worldwide and soared to the number one spot on Prime Video in the U.S. The series stars Michael Iskander as David and Ali Suliman as King Saul.

A Growing Slate of Original Programming

Beyond House of David, Wonder Project is building a robust lineup of original programming set to release in the coming months. This includes a range of documentaries and series that fit its core themes.

Subscribers can look forward to Redemption, a limited docuseries that follows the Ohio State football team’s 2024 championship season. A music documentary on the Grammy-winning duo for KING & COUNTRY, titled No Turning Back, is also on the schedule. For the holiday season, the service will release a Christmas special hosted by Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town.

A new scripted drama, It’s Not Like That, starring Scott Foley and Erinn Hayes, is also in the works. The show will feature Foley as a widowed pastor and Hayes as a divorcee.

How to Sign Up and Watch

You do not need an Amazon Prime membership to subscribe to Wonder Project. Anyone with a standard Amazon account can sign up for the channel through the Prime Video platform. The service offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

Wonder Project is currently available only in the United States. The company has stated that it is listening to requests from international audiences who would like to see the service expand to their countries.

The subscription allows for the creation of up to six user profiles within a single household. It also supports Prime Video’s existing parental control features, allowing parents to set viewing restrictions and create dedicated kids’ profiles.
