The stylish crime and secrets of Westmont Village are coming back. Apple TV has confirmed the return date for its popular drama Your Friends and Neighbors, starring Jon Hamm. The second season will start on Friday, April 3, 2026. New episodes will be available every week, leading to the season finale on Friday, June 5, 2026.
The show follows Andrew “Coop” Cooper, a former finance executive who, after losing his job and his marriage, starts robbing the expensive homes of his wealthy friends and neighbors. The first season ended with Coop choosing to continue his life of crime even after being cleared of a murder charge and getting his old job back.
What Will Happen in Season 2?
The story for the new season picks up with Coop digging himself deeper. According to Apple’s official description, in season two, “Andrew Cooper doubles down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief, until the arrival of a new neighbor threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk”.
This new neighbor is played by James Marsden, who is joining the cast. While his exact role is not fully detailed, reports and first-look photos suggest his character will be a significant complication for Coop. Creator Jonathan Tropper hinted that the new season will explore deeper emotional ground.
“It’s darker. It’s more intense. This continues to be a show about relationships more than anything, and I think we get to explore the Coop and Mel dynamic in a different way,” Tropper said in an earlier interview.
Who Is Coming Back for the New Season?
Jon Hamm leads the returning cast as the charming but troubled Coop. He will be joined again by Amanda Peet as his ex-wife Mel, Olivia Munn as his complicated friend Sam, and Hoon Lee as his friend and business manager Barney.
Other returning series regulars include Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan. New recurring cast members for season two include Arienne Mandi, Erin Robinson, and Bre Blair.
Season 2 Production and Episode Details
The show was successful enough that Apple renewed it for a second season before the first one even premiered in 2025. This early commitment helped speed up the production of the new season.
Season two will consist of 10 episodes, one more than the first season’s nine. Jonathan Tropper, the creator and showrunner, is back as director and executive producer. Jon Hamm also serves as an executive producer alongside Connie Tavel, Craig Gillespie, and others. Director Stephanie Laing will direct six of the season’s episodes.
