Warner Bros. dropped a major surprise at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas. The studio officially announced the full cast for The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum. The biggest news came with the confirmation of who will play Aragorn. The Irish actor Jamie Dornan will step into the role made famous by Viggo Mortensen. This ends weeks of rumors that named Leo Woodall as the top choice for the character. Woodall is still joining the movie, but in a different role.
