The Harrigan family is about to tear itself apart. Paramount+ dropped the first teaser for MobLand Season 2 on July 9, and it makes one thing clear – the crime family’s internal war is just getting started. The new season arrives on September 18, 2026, with all 10 episodes streaming on Paramount+.
Tom Hardy returns as Harry Da Souza, the family’s fixer who must navigate dangerous waters as the Harrigans struggle to keep their empire together. Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are also back as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, the heads of North London’s largest criminal operation.
The teaser opens with Hardy’s character speaking to a frightened man in the back of a van. Harry tells him, “This hasn’t exactly been a wonderful 24 hours for me, yeah? I’m under a lot of pressure.” The scene sets the tone for a season where everyone feels the weight of coming chaos.

Tom Hardy’s Return Confirmed After Rumors
The teaser puts to rest months of speculation about Hardy’s future on the show. In May 2026, reports claimed Hardy had been fired from MobLand after clashing with producers. Puck reported Hardy was frequently late to set, tried to change dialogue, and grew unhappy that the show was shifting to an ensemble production.
Paramount seemed more interested in dropping Hardy when producer Jez Butterworth threatened to quit. But the situation changed. Variety reported that a meeting in London between Hardy and show executives led to a breakthrough. The Hollywood Reporter noted Hardy’s future for a potential Season 3 remains unconfirmed.
The teaser proves Hardy is very much present for Season 2. His character appears in multiple scenes, including one where someone points a gun at his head inside a red-lit room. Another scene shows Harry smashing a man’s head on a table while rival gang members point weapons at him.
Full Cast Returns for Season 2
The stacked cast returns for the new season. Alongside Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren, viewers will see Paddy Considine as Kevin Harrigan, Joanne Froggatt as Jan Da Souza, Lara Pulver as Bella Harrigan, and Anson Boon as Eddie Harrigan.
Other returning cast members include Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina Harrigan, Emmett J. Scanlan, Johnny Flynn, Janet McTeer, Toby Jones, Jasmine Jobson, and Teddie Allen.
The series comes from creator Ronan Bennett, with Guy Ritchie serving as executive producer and episode director. Jez Butterworth is the showrunner and executive producer. The show is produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
What the Teaser Reveals About Season 2
The teaser offers several glimpses into what awaits fans. Harry appears to have abducted a young cyclist, possibly someone who spoke against the Harrigans or planned to testify against them. Harry wants to frighten the man so he stays away from the family.
A scene shows someone pointing a gun at Harry’s head from behind. Later, Harry walks through a corridor with his right-hand man Paul and another woman, apparently heading to a meeting. The meeting turns violent when Harry smashes a man’s head on a table.
Notably, Harry’s trusted ally Zosia is missing from the teaser. She may have left the gang after Kiko’s death in the Season 1 finale.
The teaser also shows Conrad and Maeve walking brazenly into danger, firing at rivals. Conrad quips, “Don’t know the name? Then Google us.”
Season 1 Success Sets High Expectations
MobLand premiered in March 2025 and drew 8.8 million viewers in its first week. Only Taylor Sheridan series like Landman (14.6 million) and Dutton Ranch (12.9 million) performed better. The show’s success is notable because it isn’t tied to an existing television universe.
Season 1 ended with Harry and Kevin Harrigan killing Richie Stevenson, the family’s arch-nemesis who had sworn to destroy them. With Richie gone, Season 2 shifts focus to internal family conflicts.
The series has already generated discussion about a possible Season 3. Production could start later this year if the show gets renewed. For now, all attention is on the upcoming second season.
