The Ogre’s Bride (鬼の花嫁, Oni no Hanayome) continues its summer 2026 run, and viewers are waiting for Episode 6 to drop. The Story So Far
The Ogre’s Bride is set in a modern Japan where humans and ayakashi (supernatural beings) coexist. Being chosen as an ayakashi’s bride is considered the ultimate honor, bringing prosperity and absolute love.
Yuzu Shinonome has been overlooked her whole life, eclipsed by the shadow of her sister Karin, who is a chosen bride of a fox spirit. Her family treats her like she is invisible, and everyone reminds her daily that she does not measure up.
One day, when Yuzu just could not take things anymore, she encountered Reiya Kiryuin, a dashing ogre from a powerful clan, on a bridge. Reiya claims Yuzu as his bride, changing her life completely. The story follows their romance, filled with folklore, family conflict, and emotional growth.
