The Planet Express crew is back. Futurama Season 14 officially premiered today, August 3, 2026, on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally. The new season brings ten fresh episodes with a weekly release pattern, a change from the previous season’s binge model.
The animated sci-fi comedy, created by Matt Groening and developed with David X. Cohen, follows Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy from 1999 who accidentally freezes himself and wakes up in the year 3000. In New New York, he befriends the hard-drinking robot Bender and the one-eyed mutant Leela. Together, they work at the Planet Express delivery company, taking on deliveries across the universe.

The finale title, “Final Ending: The Last Conclusion,” plays on the show’s long history of cancellations and revivals.

During the San Diego Comic-Con panel in July 2026, the Futurama team announced three new supersized specials, dubbed “XXXL-Sized,” currently in production. Will There Be a Season 15?
Season 15 has not been officially announced yet. In November 2023, Hulu ordered twenty additional episodes, which were later split into seasons 13 and 14, with ten episodes each. This means the 2026 season completes the current streaming order.
However, Futurama has a long history of cancellations and revivals. The show first ended after its Fox run, then returned on Comedy Central, and later came back on Hulu. A decision about another continuation will likely depend on the audience response to season 14 and new agreements with the creators and voice cast.
