The Story Behind My Bias, My Boss
My Bias, My Boss is adapted from the Naver webtoon of the same name by creator Seong Eun. The original webtoon, also known as “My Oppa Is an Idol,” was published from September 2017 to February 2020.
The drama tells the story of Nam Da-reum (played by Kim Hye-jun), a devoted fan who has spent 11 to 12 years idolising K-pop star Lee Chan (played by Cha Woo-min) from the idol group D.N.X. She turns down job offers from major corporations to join Appello, a fashion startup company co-founded by her idol and his childhood friend.
However, things do not go as planned. Instead of the fan experience she dreamed of, Nam Da-reum constantly clashes with the company’s strict and workaholic CEO, Kang Ha-gi (played by Kang Hoon). The situation gets more complicated when Da-reum misunderstands the close relationship between Ha-gi and Chan. What follows is a love triangle as both men begin to develop feelings for the new employee.
