The controversy surrounding South Korean actor Hong Min-gi has taken a new turn. His ex-girlfriend, known as “Ms. A,” has strongly denied stalking allegations made by the actor’s agency. She claims she went through an abortion alone after the actor pressured her to end the pregnancy. She also stated she will take legal action against him.

What Started the Conflict Between Hong Min-gi and His Ex-Girlfriend
The conflict became public on August 19, 2026, when Ms. A, an influencer and college student, shared a certified legal letter on social media. The letter, dated July 28, accused Hong Min-gi of dating violence, threats, and invasion of privacy.
In her posts, she claimed that Hong Min-gi threw a soju bottle at her, hit her, grabbed her neck, and accessed her private messages without permission. She also said he threatened to kill her and her former boyfriend. She shared photos of her injuries to support these claims.
Hong Min-gi’s Agency Responds to the Allegations
Fable Company released its first statement on the same day. The agency said Hong Min-gi and Ms. A started dating in April 2026. But the relationship ended after Hong discovered that Ms. A was still in contact with her ex-boyfriend.
The agency claimed that after the breakup, Ms. A kept contacting Hong and showing up at his home. They said she arrived at his house around 1 a.m. on August 19 and stayed until 4 a.m., ringing the bell and hitting the door. The agency called this stalking behavior.
The agency also said Ms. A threatened to release false information because she knew public image matters to the actor.
Ex-Girlfriend Denies Stalking Allegations
Ms. A quickly responded to the agency’s claims on Instagram. She denied stalking Hong Min-gi or demanding to meet him. She said she only wanted an apology from him.
She also rejected the agency’s claim that she stayed in contact with an ex-boyfriend. Ms. A stated that she was the one who faced mistreatment during the relationship. She accused Hong’s side of making her the villain while ignoring her suffering.
Ms. A Claims She Became Pregnant and Had Abortion Alone
The most serious claim came when Ms. A said she discovered she was pregnant in July 2026. She said she told Hong about her delayed period several times, but he did not take her concerns seriously.
She claimed that she got a positive pregnancy test at Hong’s home. She said he reacted with anger and told her to get an abortion. She went through the procedure alone because she was afraid to go with him.
Ms. A said she has medical records and ultrasound images to prove her claims. She shared these documents online, including details of her treatment at a clinic on July 13, 2026. The total cost of the procedure was 424,600 KRW (around 4.8 to 5 million Indonesian rupiah).
She also said Hong Min-gi refused to take responsibility for her recovery after the abortion. He cut off contact, leaving her feeling isolated and distressed. She said she went to his home because she had no one else to turn to.
Ms. A further claimed that Hong told her he could not afford to pay for the abortion because the drama’s filming budget was low. She paid the full cost herself.
Fable Company Denies Abortion Pressure Claims
On August 20, 2026, Fable Company released a second statement denying all abortion-related claims. The agency said Ms. A sent an ultrasound photo to Hong at about 6 a.m. on August 19 with a threatening message: “Shut your mouth before I expose all of this too”.
The agency claimed that Ms. A had never shown Hong any ultrasound photo or pregnancy test before that moment. They also said the ultrasound image does not look like a typical pregnancy confirmation photo. They have asked OB-GYN professionals to review it and plan to submit their findings as evidence.
The agency also pointed out that on July 13—the exact day Ms. A says she had the abortion—she invited Hong to go cycling together. When he declined, she sent him a video of herself cycling alone. The agency said it has saved all records of this conversation and the video.
Fable Company stated that Hong Min-gi never pressured Ms. A to have an abortion. They called her claims entirely untrue.
Both Sides Threaten Legal Action
Ms. A has made it clear that she no longer wants to settle the matter privately. She said she will pursue legal action against Hong Min-gi. She has already appointed a law firm as her legal representative.
Fable Company also plans to take legal action. They said they will pursue both civil and criminal cases against Ms. A. They plan to use anti-stalking laws because of her repeated contact and visits to Hong’s home. They also plan to file defamation charges for spreading false information that damages the actor’s reputation.
The agency said it will no longer respond to every individual claim publicly. Instead, it will let the legal process decide the facts.
