Love in Disguise Episode 3 arrived on Monday, October 26, 2026, and it delivered the biggest clue yet in the murder case that has kept Kang Jae-Hee glued to Yoon Yi-Jun’s side. The undercover detective slipped into a locked room inside Yi-Jun’s house and walked out with Secretary Han Eun-Young’s missing phone — a device that could finally explain what really happened to the woman found dead in Yi-Jun’s office. Yi-Jun caught her before she could process the discovery and fired her on the spot. Seconds later, a chandelier crashed down from the ceiling, and Jae-Hee pushed Yi-Jun out of the way. The episode ended with the heavy fixture falling directly on top of her.
The Columbarium Visit That Deepened the Mystery
Episode 3 picked up after the tense gallery confrontation from the previous week. Yi-Jun (Yim Si-Wan) drove to a columbarium where Han Eun-Young’s remains are kept and placed flowers near her resting place. Jae-Hee (Seol In-Ah) followed him, and a surveillance team watched from a van nearby, debating whether Yi-Jun was visiting out of guilt or something darker. Jae-Hee used the moment to ask him directly about Secretary Han. Yi-Jun admitted he felt responsible for her death but grew irritated when Jae-Hee kept pushing for details. He told her to quit if she was afraid of him. Jae-Hee refused because she needs the money, a line that echoed her earlier confession to Yi-Jun that she would stay by his side because he pays well.
Secretary Jung Returns and Explains Yi-Jun’s Strict Upbringing
A suspicious figure lurking outside Yi-Jun’s house turned out to be Secretary Jung, Yi-Jun’s former assistant who had resigned earlier in the season. Jung begged Yi-Jun for his job back, and Yi-Jun agreed. Jae-Hee saw the return as a chance to learn more about her target. Jung told her that Yi-Jun was raised to be the perfect heir of Taekang Group, with a father who punished him for bringing home an A instead of an A+. Jung also shut down the rumor that Yi-Jun was romantically involved with Secretary Han. According to Jung, Han was dating someone else in the office, and the affair talk was baseless.
The Poisoned Milk and the Secret Room
One of the strangest threads in Episode 3 involved a simple bottle of milk. Yi-Jun noticed that the milk in his fridge had 10ml more than the day before and called Jae-Hee late at night to check if he was imagining things. Jae-Hee gave the milk to Yi-Jun’s cat, Jerry, and dozed off in the house. By morning, the steel bowl she had left out for the cat had turned black. Jae-Hee hid the bowl and sent the milk packet to her colleague Seok-Jin for testing. The discolored bowl pointed to something seriously wrong inside the house, and Jae-Hee decided to find out what.

How Jae-Hee Found Secretary Han’s Phone
While Manager Choi was busy cleaning, Jae-Hee slipped into the secret room she had been eyeing since earlier episodes. Inside, she found artwork and vases. When she straightened one of the paintings, a hidden door opened in the wall. Behind that door was a phone that Jae-Hee believed belonged to Secretary Han. The discovery gave the investigation its first tangible piece of evidence tied directly to the dead secretary, and it suggested that someone inside Yi-Jun’s household had access to Han’s belongings after her death.
Yi-Jun Catches Jae-Hee and Fires Her
Yi-Jun sensed something was off during a car ride with Kim Si-Hyun and ordered the driver to turn around. He walked into the secret room just as Jae-Hee stepped out with the phone. Yi-Jun was furious and told her to leave. Jae-Hee defended herself by saying she was trying to find out whether he really killed Secretary Han. She also brought up the milk, but before she could finish, she noticed the chandelier above them was unstable. Jae-Hee shoved Yi-Jun aside. The chandelier came down on her instead.
The Chandelier Cliffhanger and the Tattooed Watcher
The chandelier crash closed the episode on a cliffhanger, leaving Jae-Hee’s condition unclear. A separate scene showed a person with tattoos on the neck watching the house, adding another suspect to the growing list of people circling Yi-Jun. The episode also confirmed that someone was actively trying to harm Yi-Jun from inside his own home, and that the danger was not limited to the murder investigation.
