Jung Hae In and Jung So Min, stars of the popular K-drama Love Next Door, recently opened up about their emotional final day on set. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Korea on October 21, 2024, the two actors shared heartfelt thoughts on wrapping up their roles and bidding farewell to the characters they portrayed, Choi Seung Hyo and Baek Seok Ryu.
Reflecting on the Last Day of Filming
Jung So Min revealed that the reality of the final day didn’t quite sink in for her. “It didn’t feel real,” she said, explaining that both she and Jung Hae In had initially agreed to hold back their tears. However, on the actual day of filming, both actors found themselves confused, questioning whether they had truly finished.
Jung Hae In, too, admitted to feeling reluctant to leave. After the shoot wrapped, he found himself lingering on set, unwilling to say goodbye to the atmosphere that had become so familiar. “I couldn’t bring myself to leave,” he confessed, highlighting just how much the experience meant to him.
Messages to Their Characters
In a light-hearted exchange, both actors were asked to address their characters as themselves. Jung So Min, speaking directly to Choi Seung Hyo, expressed her hopes for him: “I want him to live a long, happy, and healthy life, filled with love from Seok Ryu.”
Jung Hae In, addressing Baek Seok Ryu, simply said, “Keep your promises,” a brief remark that brought laughter to the conversation, reflecting the close bond the actors developed with their characters.
The Story of Love Next Door
Love Next Door tells the story of two childhood friends-turned-rivals, Baek Seok Ryu and Choi Seung Hyo, whose paths cross again in adulthood.
